Arrow Season 3, Episode 14, ‘The Return’ Review
[This is a review for Arrow season 3, episode 14: Uprising. There will be spoilers.] Oliver’s return to Starling is fairly short-lived, as he almost immediately takes off again—this time with Thea—to do some training back on Lian Yu. The two siblings don’t get much time in before it’s discovered that Slade Wilson has escaped from his inescapable prison, and is free on the island, setting up another showdown with Deathstroke. Unfortunately, the arrow misses the mark in almost every way possible in this episode. Most things that happen almost completely lack justification, and the episode plays out more like a piece of fan fiction than the show we grew…

Arrow Season 3, Episode 12 “Uprising” Review
[This is a review for Arrow season 3, episode 12: Uprising. There will be spoilers.] To this point, the episodes since the midseason premier have focused more on Felicity, using her to tell the story of how any why people make the sacrafice that it is to be a hero. This episode shows the other side of the coin and what it looks like when someone approaches justice from the wrong angle, putting the wight of the episode on John Borrowman’s shoulders to tell the story of how Malcom Merlyn became the Dark Archer. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, we get to see Oliver’s all-too soon return…

Arrow Season 3, Episode 10, ‘Left Behind’ Review
[The following is a review for Arrow season 3, episode 10, ‘Left Behind.’ There will be spoilers.] After the events of the midseason finale, Arrow viewers were left with several weeks of speculation as to the full extent of Oliver Queen’s fate at the hands of Ra’s al Ghul. Oliver was very clearly stabbed and dumped off a cliff the last time we saw him, so the question of when and how he’ll recover is top of mind, right alongside the question: how will Starling City get by without him? This episode answers both questions, jumping right into the second one, focusing on (s the title states) those left behind…

Arrow, Season 3, Episode 9, ‘The Climb,’ Review
Wow. What a first half of Arrow season 3. This episode was actually very accurate sample of the season as a whole so far. It has yet to meet the high bar set by the last season, but there have also been some huge moments, as well as a very successful crossover. If you haven’t seen Season 3, Episode 9: The Climb yet, you should do that before reading this, as I do not shy away from some major spoilers. Despite having one the the biggest cliffhangers in recent TV memory, the rest of the episode seemed very lacking. They attempted to use the time hops (we were basically playing…

Arrow Season 3, Episode 8, ‘The Brave and the Bold’ Review
[This is a review for Arrow Season 3, Episode 8, ‘The Brave and the Bold.’ There will be mild spoilers.] When Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon go to Starling City to visit (and hopefully check out the “Arrow cave”), The Flash follows and joins the Arrow for part 2 of the Flash/Arrow team-up crossover event: The Brave and The Bold. While Arrow’s visit to Central City in Flash vs. Arrow actually squared to the two heroes against each other, Flash’s trip to Starling city was on much more friendly terms in what turned out to be a very meta episode that not only used the two characters to contrast and define each…

Morena Baccarin Voicing Gideon In THE FLASH; Sin Returning To ARROW This Season
We have a couple of updates concerning two characters featured on The Flash and Arrow. First up, TV Line has confirmed that actress Morena Baccarin is voicing Gideon in the former series. The AI assistant of Harrison Wells made her debut in this week’s episode. Baccarin is no stranger to the DC Universe; she has voiced characters such as Black Canary, Talia al Ghul and Cheetah. She is also playing Dr. Leslie Thompkins in Gotham, beginning early next year. Don’t be surprised if we see plenty more of Gideon throughout the rest of The Flash this season. TV Line has also learned that Bex Taylor-Klaus will reprise her role as Sin on Arrow…

SUPERGIRL Might Be Included In THE FLASH And ARROW Universe, Suggests Greg Berlanti
While most of DC Entertainment’s television shows are separate from each other – due to different networks, among other things – fans have speculated that CBS’ upcoming Supergirl series may be integrated into the world of Arrow and The Flash. All three shows are executive produced by Greg Berlanti, and CBS co-owns The CW, the network which airs Arrow and The Flash. So, a potential crossover isn’t logistically impossible. And now, Berlanti suggests that Supergirl could very well co-exist with the other DC shows he’s involved with. During a feature on Entertainment Weekly (via KSiteTV), Berlanti offered an update on Supergirl. EW’s profile confirmed that Colleen Atwood, who designed the…

Arrow, Season 3, Episode 7, ‘Draw Back Your Bow’ Review
The following is a review of Arrow Season 3 Episode 7 ‘Draw Back Your Bow,’ and will contain mild spoilers After the tease at the end of the last episode, it seemed like ‘Draw Back Your Bow” would be a rather formulaic episode about the new archer in town that has a rather intense crush on Arrow, but it turned out to be an exciting episode that also managed to take a step beck to work with some of the characters and relationships. This episode roots itself in a flashback to Deathstoke’s assault on Starling City, where Arrow saves a woman from one of Slade Wilson’s mirakuru troops. It turns…

Arrow, Season 3, Episode 6, ‘Guilty’ Review
The following is a review of Arrow Season 3 Episode 6 ‘Guilty’ and will contain mild spoilers When Wildcat Ted Grant is framed for several murders, Oliver has to trust Laurel when she vouches for him. While Arrow helps Ted investigate, Ted ends up getting arrested for the murders, as well as another similar killing from six years previous. Meanwhile, Roy tries to grapple with his suppressed memories, worried that he was Sara’s true killer, in a delayed burn off of the last of the mirakuru. His blood shows up negative when Felicity tests it, but that doesn’t reconcile his dreams, pr the fact that the virtual autopsy corroborates with them.…

ARROW Season 3, Episode 5, ‘The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak’ Review
Episode 6 of Arrow takes the focus off of Oliver and his backstory for an episode to take a closer look at Felicity Smoak, and some of her backstory. This is a very interesting installment, because it showcases some of the show’s biggest strength’s, but also some of it’s biggest weaknesses. The rest of this review will contain mild spoilers for Arrow. Emily Bett Rickards and Brandon Routh are definitely the best performed characters on Arrow at this point, so it’s a refreshing change of pace to see the two of them get a good chunk of screen time, but the show bit off more than it could chew with…
