ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL Heading to Blu-Ray and Digital This Month
In December, 20th Century Fox released a new version of Deadpool 2, titled Once Upon a Deadpool, in theaters for two weeks. The film is a PG-13 edition of the hit sequel, anchored by a framing story featuring Wade Wilson and Fred Savage. Fox donated $1 for every ticket sold to “Fudge Cancer.” The movie grossed about $7 million, adding to Deadpool 2‘s theatrical total. Now, the film is hitting home video. Once Upon a Deadpool will be released on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital on Tuesday, January 15th. No details on bonus features were released, but the charity work isn’t over. For every Blu-Ray or Digital purchase/rental, Fox will donate…

First Trailer for ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL
I think we all got so confused that we forgot our chimichangas in the microwave only to find them two days later when 20th Century Fox announced that a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 was going to be released this December. At first, some people (myself included) thought it was an out of season April Fool’s joke, but it turns out that it was real. However, if you still need proof, Fox has now released the teaser trailer for the PG-13 version, which is called Once Upon a Deadpool. The focus on the trailer is the interaction between Deadpool and the actor Fred Savage, playing himself. Check it out below.…

DEADPOOL 2 PG-13 Cut Gets a Title, New Release Date and More

Now, we have details on what exactly this movie is, when it will be in theaters, and more. The movie is called Once Upon a Deadpool, and it will have a limited theatrical run from December 12th to December 24th (aka Christmas Eve). Fox Delays DARK PHOENIX Again, Sets DEADPOOL 2 PG-13 Cut for This Christmas
Despite releasing the long-awaited teaser trailer (touting its Valentines Day 2019 date) less than two days ago, 20th Century Fox has once again delayed the next X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix. The film will now hit theaters on June 7th, 2019. This puts it right in the heart of the summer, which – based on the competition – may not be the wisest bet. But, Fox is hoping that the move will lead to the film being a bigger hit in China. No exact reason was given for the delay beyond that, but the movie has been undergoing reshoots, which are said to be extensive. So, this gives them extra time…

DEADPOOL 2 Concept Art Reveals Scrapped Appearance From…The Fantastic Four?
When Deadpool 2 first entered development, director Tim Miller was set to return after the first film’s massive success. However, he eventually left the project due to creative differences. David Leitch later replaced him. Not too much has been known about how Miller’s version differs from what we got, but it turns out he planned on including Marvel’s First Family. Concept artist Alexander Lozano has been posting his artwork from Miller’s Deadpool 2 on social media. They mostly include alternative designs for characters like Cable and Juggernaut. But most significantly, he worked on designs for the Fantastic Four. Not just any Fantastic Four, either. Apparently, Miller wanted the cast of…

Box Office Updates for DEADPOOL 2 and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY
This weekend has been dominated by new release Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and last week’s Incredibles 2, but some other movies have reached key box office milestones. Per Box Office Mojo, Fox’s Deadpool 2 took in an estimated $5.3 million this weekend, bringing its domestic total to $304.2 million. It also reached $403 million overseas, bringing its worldwide total to $707.2 million. While it’s still lagging a bit behind the first film, these are impressive numbers, particularly when you consider the amount of competition this summer. Things don’t look nearly as good for Solo: A Star Wars Story, however. The film grossed an additional $4.5 million this weekend, finally edging it…

Box Office Report: SOLO Drops Big in Second Weekend, DEADPOOL 2 Nears $600 Million Worldwide
Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story experienced an underwhelming box office opening last weekend, making just a little over $100 million over four days. Compared to other recent Star Wars movies, that’s really low. It’s especially bad when considering the film’s $250-300 million (possibly more) budget. So, eyes are on later weeks to see how it performs. Unfortunately, if its second weekend is any indicator, it’s not looking too good. Per Box Office Mojo, Solo grossed an estimated $29.3 million this weekend. While it still retains the #1 spot, that’s a 65% drop from last week. It’s still a smaller drop than The Last Jedi‘s 67% drop, but not by much.…

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Underperforms with Estimated $84.8 Million 3-Day Weekend
This weekend sees the release of Lucasfilm’s second Star Wars spinoff, Solo. The film has faced a lot of negative buzz in the past year, primarily due to switching directors during production. It has also had a smaller marketing campaign, while it arrives just a few weeks after Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2. Unfortunately, these factors and more have led to an underwhelming opening. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Solo is grossing an estimated $84.8 million over the three-day weekend, and it is expected to hit $103 million over the four-day Memorial Day weekend. This is easily the smallest opening for any of Disney’s Star Wars movies, and it is a…
