While we wait for an official announcement on the cast of Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad, the DC adaptation has added a couple of names to its crew. The movie’s IMDb page has been updated, and it reveals who will serve as director of photography and costume designer. Roman Vasyanov will serve as cinematographer on Suicide Squad, marking his third collaboration with writer-director David Ayer following End of Watch and Fury.
Additionally, Kate Hawley will design the costumes for the film. Her resume is filled with Warner Bros. productions, as she was the costume designer on Pacific Rim and Edge of Tomorrow. She also worked as an additional costume designer for The Hobbit trilogy. Finally, Guy Norris will serve as action unit director and supervising stunt coordinator, following his work on WB’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road.
With production expected to start next April, a full cast announcement for Suicide Squad should be made soon. One rumored addition is Jared Leto, who is reportedly circling the role of The Joker. During a profile on The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner hints that he may be closing in on his next major role, which may just be Joker. All Leto could say is, “I’ve sworn to keep my mouth shut.”
Stay tuned for more as we have it. Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters August 5th, 2016.
