It was recently reported that the first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was set to debut next month, with the highly anticipated preview being attached to screenings of Mad Max: Fury Road. However, a series of new reports have now confirmed that we will be seeing it even sooner.
Firstly, the British Board of Film Classification has officially classified and approved the Batman v Superman trailer, which has a runtime of two minutes and six seconds. When will the trailer be released, though? According to both Collider and Latino-Review, a five-minute sneak peek will be shared by director Zack Snyder on Twitter on Thursday – right before the start of the 2015 Star Wars Celebration, which will see the premiere of a new trailer for The Force Awakens.
After that sneak peek, you can sign up to watch the entire Dawn of Justice trailer in a theater on Monday, April 20th. Afterwards, the trailer will be attached to theatrical screenings of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, which hits United States theaters on May 1st and will be released in the UK next week. Also, Warner Bros. will hold its CinemaCon panel on April 21st. Could they show the trailer there as well?
Finally, according to Superman Homepage, the Batman v Superman trailer will be screened in IMAX theaters on April 20th, followed by an online release on April 21st. The site received this info from a Bookings Manager at a U.S. movie theater.
Some exciting details here. With the trailer finally coming next week, expect the film’s marketing campaign to ramp up any day now. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
