Marvel’s The Punisher was a hit on Netflix back in 2017, with a second season being ordered shortly afterwards. Netflix’s severance of its relationship with Marvel continues. After cancelling Iron Fist and Luke Cage, the streaming platform has now ended its original Marvel series. Robert Downey Jr. to Produce Vertigo Comic Adaptation SWEET TOOTH for Hulu
The Iron Man himself is set to play in the DC Comics sandbox. Not as an actor though (although who knows at this point?). Robert and his wife’s Susan production company called Team Downey and Jim Mickle are working on an adaption on Sweet Tooth for Hulu. Often known as Bambi meets Mad Max, Sweet Tooth is a comic published by DC Comics through their Vertigo imprint. SUPERGIRL Casts Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor for Season 4
Last month, it was announced that Lex Luthor is finally making his Arrowverse debut on Supergirl later this season. Now, the character has been cast, and the actor has quite the role in Luthor history. It has been announced that Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) is set to play Lex Luthor. He will first appear on Supergirl in episode 15 of this season, and from there, he will be a recurring character. AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Already Renewed for Season 7
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. won’t be back for its season six premiere until next summer, but the Marvel series is already confirmed to live on beyond that. ABC has announced that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for a seventh season. Despite the show’s consistently low ratings, ABC has shown confidence in its creative direction.
