AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Already Renewed for Season 7

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. won’t be back for its season six premiere until next summer, but the Marvel series is already confirmed to live on beyond that.

ABC has announced that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for a seventh season. Despite the show’s consistently low ratings, ABC has shown confidence in its creative direction. It is also an opportunity to push the Marvel brand on a weekly basis. No premiere date for season seven has been confirmed yet, but expect it to begin sometime in 2020.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended its fifth season this year on a major cliffhanger, leaving the fates of two lead characters in the balance. It will be interesting to see how the next two seasons continue the story, especially with Avengers 4 expected to drastically change the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
