Recap: Arrow Season 8
Ollie’s back, and he’s teaching us how to say goodbye, one last time. This final season of Arrow is much shorter (making my job easier), which means we cut out all of the filler. We see Oliver travel with the Monitor preparing for the upcoming Crisis. The stories are tight and act as a fitting conclusion to the series. Each episode is a love letter to the series. We see Oliver, Diggle, and Laurel travel to different Earths and familiar locations throughout the season. We go to Lian Yu, Russia, Earth-2, Hong Kong, and of course, Star City. We have Oliver getting closure with characters like Katana and Anatoly, while…

Our Most Anticipated Games of 2020
2020 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year for video games. This year brings us long-anticipated sequels to beloved properties, new IPs from some of gaming’s highest-regarded developers, and not to mention, the strong livelihood of both the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X dropping this holiday season! We decided to compile a list down below of 5 of our most anticipated games slated to drop this year! #5: Marvel’s Avengers I don’t think this one needs much explanation. This will be the first true Avengers console game (we’re not counting LEGO Marvel’s Avengers here) since the birth of the MCU. While we’re admittedly disappointed the game won’t be open-world, we’re…

5 DLC Characters for SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE That We Want to See
5. Crash Bandicoot – Activision I have never played any of the Crash Bandicoot games. So, why do I want him in Smash you ask? Well, with all other video game mascots already in the game, Crash is the one that is missing. Think about it, to see him duke it out against Sonic and Mario would be awesome. 4. Impa from The Legend of Zelda – Nintendo The Legend of Zelda is a weird title when it comes to representation in Super Smash Bros. They have a good amount of stages and assist trophies in the game, but only six playable characters. And to make matters worse, three of…

5 Games We Want to See on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo‘s current console, the Switch, has been a massive success. Its biggest video games include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Currently, Nintendo is going all out, continuing to plan new games and expand the current titles. With Nintendo having a celebrated list of video games, it’s only a matter of time for the company to revisit more titles for the Switch. In fact, narrowing the list to a mere five is difficult. Regardless, below we list five games that we want to see on the Switch, sooner or later. Super Mario Sunshine Super Mario Sunshine was a huge…

5 Ideas for More DC Originals by HBO Max
Recently, we have seen a surge in the number of streaming services available to consumers. One upcoming service that seems to stand above the rest is HBO Max. This service will host Warner Bros.‘ massive IP collection, including DC. Specifically, HBO Max will feature original DC shows such as Green Lantern, Strange Adventures, and DC Super Hero High. There is also talk of creating movies for the platform. But why stop there? The worlds of DC are massive, and they not only need to be properly represented on screen, but they would also continue to boost this new streaming service. Below, we list five DC originals that we want to…

The Flash: Season Six Mid-season Catch-Up
Blows dust off keyboard and Cracks Knuckles Good thing I don’t believe in Good-Byes, huh! So we’re back! WOBAM has returned to the internet and I could not be happier for us to be together again: You me, Our Lord and Savior, Patty Spivot: Evil Kara Zor-El! The gang’s all here and it’s going to be just like old times. But first, let’s do a quick recap of season six so far: Things picked up a few months after the end of season five and though the gang is trying to get back to normal, the loss of Nora is still weighing heavy over everyone. As you might expect; Barry…

Why WONDER WOMAN 1984 Will Be DC’s Next Billion-Dollar Hit
Despite a rocky start, DC‘s movie universe has been a force to be reckoned with at the box office. Wonder Woman was a huge hit, Aquaman made a billion dollars, and Shazam! turned a sizeable profit. Even the more critically-maligned installments – except Justice League – have been box office hits. And that’s not to mention Joker, which exists outside of this continuity and still made a billion dollars on its own. So, all eyes are on DC’s future. One title that stands out is the sequel Wonder Woman 1984, which arrives this summer. In our latest editorial, we discuss why this will likely be the next DC movie to…

John Mathews Saw CATS (2019)
Why on God’s green earth would you see Cats in the theater, John? That’s a question that I’m even asking myself. Based on the popular stage musical of the same name, Cats is about a tribe of, you guessed it, cats called the “Jellicles” (a word you’ll hear in the film a triple digit number of times), who must decide each year which one of them will ascend to the “Heaviside Layer” (basically heaven) and return purified. Did I mention the felines are humans crawling around in furry suits? Because yeah, this isn’t a cartoon. And for the sake of not having nightmares tonight, I wish it was one. Now, unless you’ve been living…

Why JOKER Does Not Need a Sequel
Few could have predicted the massive success of Warner Bros.’ Joker movie. A mid-budget, R-rated character study of an iconic supervillain doesn’t sound like much, but the film really had an impact. It became the first R-rated movie to ever gross $1 billion at the worldwide box office. And with a production budget of less than $70 million, it is the most profitable comic book movie of all time. And that’s not including the awards season hype, which has seen the film earn two Golden Globes. Naturally, this has led to discussions about a potential sequel. There have been conflicting reports about whether or not a second film is in…

The Mandalorian is Exactly What Star Wars Needed
Hello there, it’s been a long time. A lot has happened since we last talked about Star Wars. We had the release of Episode IX, and it wasn’t pretty. We also had the launch of Disney+, meaning we got to see the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. This is not a review of Mando, I’m sure one of my teammates will get to that eventually. This is just going to be a mini analysis of why Star Wars needs to lean into new territory instead of dwelling on the past. So, we need to go back to the beginning. Star Wars has always been special. The original trilogy…
