5 Games We Want to See on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo‘s current console, the Switch, has been a massive success. Its biggest video games include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Currently, Nintendo is going all out, continuing to plan new games and expand the current titles.

With Nintendo having a celebrated list of video games, it’s only a matter of time for the company to revisit more titles for the Switch. In fact, narrowing the list to a mere five is difficult. Regardless, below we list five games that we want to see on the Switch, sooner or later.

Super Mario Sunshine

Super Mario Sunshine was a huge success on Nintendo’s GameCube console. In fact, it is the third selling game on the console, only behind Super Smash Bros. Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! So, it’s surprising that Nintendo hasn’t properly revisited the title since. A new game for the Switch would be so much fun. Or, at the very least, do a remaster. Maybe Nintendo can add classic GameCube games to Switch Online?

Banjo-Kazooie

Banjo-Kazooie is a shorter video game series that has seen new mainstream life, thanks to the character’s DLC inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This has led to fans wanting a new game for the Switch, and honestly, it’d make a lot of sense. Nintendo would simply have to negotiate with Xbox Game Studios, like they did for Smash. Either way, a modern-day Banjo-Kazooie game would be fun.

Pokemon Racing

The Pokemon video game franchise has added many gimmicks throughout its run, ranging from pinball to rail shooter to even a massive smartphone app. One area that could be revisited is racing. The only Pokemon racing game was 2005’s Pokemon Dash for the DS. It would be fun to see a modern-day title return to the racing tracks. Whether it’s in the vein of Dash or a full-on go-kart racer (think Mario Kart but with Pokemon), this would be a cool approach for Nintendo’s next game.

Dr. Mario

Dr. Mario is one of the original titles for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The game has spawned several spinoffs and ports for later consoles, but nothing for the Switch as of yet. Whether it’s a new remaster or a new story game, it would be cool to see Nintendo revisit Dr. Mario again.

Punch-Out!!

The Punch-Out!! series began as an arcade game, before appearing on the NES, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), and Wii. With the series not having a new title in a while and Little Mac being a playable character on Super Smash Bros., a new game would be cool. While the Switch has a lot of fighting games, a proper boxing game would help diversify the slate.
