TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES Comes Behind Expectations with Estimated $10.5 Million Opening
A few weeks ago, Teen Titans GO! To the Movies was tracking to open somewhere between $14 million and $19 million. However, the weekend estimates are in, and the film is opening with even less than that. Per Box Office Mojo, Teen Titans GO! is opening with an estimated $10.5 million, putting it in 5th place. Meanwhile, the film opened in eight international markets, bringing in about $1 million, putting its worldwide debut at $11.5 million. Additionally, the movie earned a lukewarm B+ on CinemaScore, while critics have been very positive. This is definitely an underwhelming debut for Teen Titans GO!, especially given its initial tracking. However, it’s still a stretch…

Review: TEEN TITANS: TROUBLE IN TOKYO
Before I start with this review, I never really saw this show all the seasons out. I saw some episodes here and there, but never watched every episode. But with that said. Throughout my watch of Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, it felt like I watched a reverse Mask of Phantasm. With Mask of the Phantasm, I got the feeling that people went all out, doing a worthy entry of the animated series. Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo came off as a last minute attempt to cash in on the fans that desperately wanted some more content based on the show they loved. The biggest reason for this is the animation.…

Feature: Is TITANS Destined to Fail?
I love the Teen Titans. I love the characters, I love the stories, I love the giant T-shaped tower; it’s probably my favorite team in all of comics. It’s a series for all ages, so when we have rumors of the very first live-action adaptation being in a TV-MA rating range, It makes me a little nervous. Titans tone is that of The Avengers, not The Defenders. For those who don’t know, the Teen Titans are a group of young heroes (mostly sidekicks) who band together and form their own team. The team consisted of Robin (Dick Grayson), Changeling, Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg. With Kid Flash, Donna Troy and others…

Review: TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES
When there’s trouble you know who to call… The Teen Titans make their big screen debut in DC’s latest film, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. Based on the Teen Titans Go! animated series, Go to the Movies is about Robin wanting to be a movie star. He sees every superhero in history getting a film, but not the Teen Titans. This is basically the entire plot of the movie. Does Teen Titans Go! to the Movies actually work? Well… The film is in the same style as the show, with a bit more polish because of the bigger budget. The main antagonist is Slade Wilson (Will Arnett), an assassin who wants to mind…

New TITANS Details Tease a More Mature Tone
This week, DC officially unveiled its forthcoming digital service, DC Universe. At the heart of the platform is a slate of original shows, beginning this year with Titans. Now, we have some new details on what to expect from the series. Splash Report has been sent an early review of Titans‘ first episode, and it dives deeply into the episode’s story. While we won’t be running down every detail here, the review suggests that this show won’t be family friendly. According to it, Titans will have everything from F-bombs to brutal violence, putting the series in R-rated (or TV-MA for television) territory. The action in particular is said to be…
