Review: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
As both a film in & of itself and the finale to The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises is not perfect by any stretch. But thankfully, the movie’s flaws are not enough to hold it back from being a satisfying conclusion to one of the best cinematic sagas of our time. What makes the film a worthy conclusion to the trilogy despite a large number of flaws is its deft handling of Bruce Wayne and his character development. One of the core components of Batman’s character, throughout his entire history, is his inability to move on from grief; his entire motivation stems from the trauma of watching his…

New WONDER WOMAN Promo Image Unveiled
2017’s Wonder Woman is a hotly anticipated film, a given considering it will be the fourth film in ever-expanding DC Extended Universe and will be the first solo film about the title character. Should the film prove a hit, such success could lead to more female-led superhero films, something many would argue the genre needs quite a bit. Given the level of talent involved, from director Patty Jenkins to a cast that includes Connie Nielsen & Robin Wright, the film achieving the critical acclaim that has thus far eluded the DCEU is a very real possibility. Check below to see a recently revealed Entertainment Weekly promotion image from the film, featuring Gal Gadot as…

For a while, fans have been wondering if we’ll see Booster Gold pop up in one of DC’s live action film or television projects. After being confirmed to not appear on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a rumor claimed that a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle team-up film is in the works. We haven’t heard any official confirmation on that one, but rest assured, there ARE plans for Booster Gold…somewhere. Speaking with ComicBook.com at the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiere, DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns weighs in on possible plans for Booster Gold, whether they be film, TV or comics. Review: SUPERMAN RETURNS
While it has its fair share of fans, Superman Returns has been met with a lot “mehs” from people. I can totally understand where the latter group comes from, but for me, this is a pretty good Superman film. While Lex Luthor plots to destroy him once and for all, the Man of Steel returns after a long absence to a much-changed world. Lois Lane has moved on with her life, and society has learned to survive without him. Superman must find a way to reconnect with her and find his place in a world that may no longer need him. Superman Returns isn’t really an action film. There’s no…

Deborah Snyder Offers Production Updates for WONDER WOMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE and AQUAMAN
Speaking with Collider at the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice press junket, producer Deborah Snyder talks about some of the other DC Extended Universe films. She reaffirms that each installment is different from the other; for example, Suicide Squad differs in tone and color palette from Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman. Speaking of Wonder Woman, Snyder offers an update on that project, which has been shooting since November. She says that the “bulk” of production has been complete, and she adds, “They’re taking a two-week hiatus so Gal [Gadot] can some and do press, and then we go back and shoot the Themiscyra sections in Italy, and then come back…

REVIEW: Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) Written By: Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal Directed By: Sidney J Furie I opened my reviews of Superman III and Supergirl with a question, so it’s only fair to ask one going into this one. What were they thinking? I’m kidding… Kind of, but to ask this question I have to set the scene. After Superman III and Supergirl, the Salkinds felt that maybe the bloom was off the rose and it was time to walk away. Enter Cannon Films. For those of you that aren’t film geeks, Cannon Films was a studio not unlike The Asylum (Makers of the Sharknado series.) They…

Zack Snyder Says Grant Gustin’s Flash Wouldn’t Have Been a “Good Fit” For the DC Extended Universe
Over the years, fans have debated the idea of DC’s television shows, including The Flash, potentially crossing over with the cinematic DC Extended Universe. Warner Bros. confirmed years ago that such a crossover isn’t happening, but it’s still a frequent talking point for some reason. For example, Grant Gustin will not reprise his role as The Flash for the DCEU. Instead, Ezra Miller will play the cinematic version of Barry Allen. Now, Justice League director Zack Snyder explains to NY Daily News why Gustin’s Flash isn’t in the movies. Quite frankly, the show’s tone wouldn’t have worked well within the greater DCEU. “I just don’t think it was a good…
