SUPERGIRL Will Meet Classic Superman Villain Mr. Mxyzptlk Later This Season
Following this week’s midseason finale, which kicked off The CW’s big “Heroes vs. Aliens” crossover event, Supergirl is now on winter break. But when the show returns next year, Kara will be facing a new villain – one who Superman fans should easily recognize. ComicBook has confirmed that Mr. Mxyzptlk will be appearing on Supergirl later this season. The character will be in two episodes. No actor has been cast in the role, and we don’t have an official character biography from the network…yet. Mxyzptlk is one of the campier and more bizarre members of Superman’s rogues gallery. In the comics, the magical trickster enjoys tormenting the Man of Steel, but…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 3×08 – “Invasion!”
The Flash (3×08) – “Invasion!” Written by: Aaron & Todd Helbing Story by: Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg Directed by: Dermott Downs Please note: I am not reviewing the crossover as whole, this is a review of the Flash episode. So after Supergirl does just a bit over the bare minimum of crossing over required for people not to think this was all false advertising we open on Barry and Oliver getting their asses kicked by pretty much the rest of the cast. Then comes the obligatory jump back in time so we can see how we got here. So for all intents and purposes the episode…

Warner Bros. Shifts AQUAMAN Release to Fall 2018
Warner Bros. originally slated DC Films’ Aquaman for release on July 27th, 2018. The James Wan-directed movie will star Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe. No reason for the delay was given, and there’s no indication of production being pushed back. The film is expected to begin shooting early next year. WB previously claimed this date with an untitled DC film, which was widely expected to be The Batman or a Suicide Squad sequel. Also,…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 3×07 – “Killer Frost”
The Flash (3×07) – “Killer Frost” Written by: Andrew Kreisberg & Brooke Roberts from a Story by: Judalina Neira Directed by: Silent Bob We pick up pretty much where we left off with Savitar getting ready to use his official Assassin’s Creed hidden blade to kill Barry Connor Kenway style! (Oh you like Ezio? That’s fine, but Connor’s my favorite.) Luckily for Barry, Joe is able to fight off Savitar’s lackeys and fire off enough rounds to distract Savitar so he takes Barry on a run at his speed which also allows him to do some villain posturing. “I’m the God of the Speed Force. I’m faster…

RUMOR: New Details On The Next BATMAN Game
We’ve talked about Warner Bros. Montreal’s next DC game a few times over the last year (click here and here), and while we haven’t heard any official news on their upcoming projects, we do have more clues on what they’re developing. We’ve heard rumors on what these two games might be, but we didn’t report them because they weren’t credible sources. Well now there is so much evidence that we have to talk about it. According to NeoGaf user, Kenzodielocke, WB Montreal is developing a new Batman game. The details are down below! The game has reportedly been set for a summer 2017 release date. It’s set 10 in the future (after Batman: Arkham Knight?) Bruce…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 3×06 – “Shade”
The Flash (3×06) – “Shade” Written by: Emily Silver & David Kob Directed by: JJ Makaro So we start this week with Wally telling Joe about his dreams of being Kid Flash. Joe of course notices how this is pretty much exactly what happen to Magenta to the detail. Wally thinks it’s totally different because… Because it’s happening to him, I guess. At the station, Barry tries to make nice with Julian and it goes as well as you’d expect. Good thing DA Horton shows up and makes Barry essentially Julian’s underling in the Meta-human Task Force. I’m sure this won’t lead to tension between the two. Speaking…

Check Out the JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Trailer; Film is Rated R
IGN has premiered the official trailer for Justice League Dark, the next installment in DC Entertainment’s line of original animated movies. In this film, Batman seeks the assistance of John Constantine to fight evil supernatural forces. Constantine then forms a team of other magical heroes, such as Zatanna and Swamp Thing. Perhaps the biggest revelation from the trailer is the film’s MPAA rating. Traditionally, DC’s animated movies are PG-13, a trend that broke this year with the R-rated Batman: The Killing Joke. And now, Justice League Dark has been rated R for “some disturbing violence.” So, it’s safe to assume that the film won’t be holding back on its depiction…

Warner Bros. Hires Screenwriter for Harley Quinn-Led DC Female Ensemble Film
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Warner Bros. is developing a new DC film starring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. The movie is not a solo spin-off, but rather an ensemble starring multiple female characters from the DC Universe. Batgirl and the Birds of Prey were named as possible additions. Now, we know who’s writing the script. According to The Wrap, screenwriter Christina Hodson is working on the untitled Harley Quinn movie’s script. After popping up on the Black List three times, Hodson has become a hot name in the screenwriting business. Her other big property is Paramount’s Bumblebee, a spin-off starring the Transformers character. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn first…
