DC Entertainment Announces Voice Cast For BATMAN VS. ROBIN
With Justice League: Throne of Atlantis releasing on digital download this week, we now know details about DC’s next animated movie, Batman vs. Robin. The film is inspired by the acclaimed “Court of Owls” storyline from The New 52, and marks the animation debut of this group. Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, the voice cast for the movie has been unveiled.
Son of Batman stars Jason O’Mara, Stuart Allen, Sean Maher and David McCallum will reprise their roles as Batman, Damian Wayne/Robin, Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively, in this sequel, which will follow “a secret society dating back to the early days of Gotham City that kidnapped children and raised them to be assassins.”
As for new cast members, Jeremy Sisto (who voiced Batman in Justice League: The New Frontier) is set to voice Talon, Robin Atkin Downes (Superman vs. The Elite) is Grandmaster, Grey DeLisle-Griffin voices Samantha and Peter Onorati will play Draco. Additionally, renown comedian “Weird Al” Yankovic will voice The Dollmaker, while legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy will make a guest appearance as Thomas Wayne.
Batman vs. Robin will be released sometime this spring and will make its world premiere at WonderCon this April. Jay Oliva (who is also a storyboard artist for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) is directing from a script by J.M. DeMatteis, with James Tucker producing.
