ARROW & THE FLASH News Bits: Crossovers, Episode Titles And Returning Characters

We have a slew of new details regarding Arrow‘s third season and its spin-off series The Flash. TV Guide has learned that, despite the character returning to the League of Assassins in the Season 2 premiere, Caity Lotz’ Sara Lance/Canary will return in the Season 3 premiere. It’s unknown how she suddenly reappears, but the next couple of tidbits make it even more interesting. Via Green Arrow TV, the second episode for Arrow Season 3 is titled “Sara.” Clearly, that indicates that Sara will be the focus of this episode.

Then, CBM‘s KingPatel recently met actors Manu Bennett and Katrina Law. The latter, who plays Nyssa al Ghul on Arrow, revealed that she will soon start shooting for an episode. It wouldn’t be surprising if “Sara” is the one she is referring too. Perhaps this will be a flashback centric episode recounting Sara’s acceptance into the League?

In other Arrow news, it appears that crossovers between it and its sister series The Flash will happen sooner than later. Executive producer Greg Berlanti had this to say to TV Guide regarding bringing Felicity to Central City. “That’s our hope. Our hope is to get some crossovers going sooner rather than later with all the shows. We have all sorts of romantic possibilities for both of them on both shows. Hopefully the first time Felicity comes to town, we’ll deal with all that stuff.” He then mentioned that there was a possibility of Barry Allen and Felicity dating across shows, but it sounds like that isn’t the plan for now.

Finally, we have another episode title for The Flash. Flash TV News has learned that the third episode of the series is named “Things You Can’t Outrun.” The episode is said to be centered on Caitlin Snow, and it marks the debut of her fiance, Ronnie Raymond (played by Robbie Amell). Raymond, who in the comics is one-half of superhero Firestorm, will be a recurring role in The Flash. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

The Flash premieres on The CW October 7th, while Arrow returns on October 8th.
