The CW Orders More Episodes for Season 2 of DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
Unlike its other DC Comics shows, The CW did not order a full 22 episodes for Legends of Tomorrow‘s second season. The show, which premiered during midseason last year, returned this fall with only a 13 episode order. However, in a sign of confidence, The CW has ordered more episode for this season – but it’s still less than the norm. It has been announced (via THR) that The CW has ordered four more episodes for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow this season. YOUNG JUSTICE Season 3 is Officially Happening
The fan-favorite Young Justice animated series ran for two seasons on Cartoon Network, before its cancellation in 2013. The decision to end the show – after a major cliffhanger ending, no less – was a controversial one, and in the years since, fans have campaigned tirelessly for a revival. THE FLASH Star Kiersey Clemons Comments on Director Rick Famuyiwa’s “Upsetting” Departure
Earlier this week, it was announced that director Rick Famuyiwa has dropped out of The Flash, due to “creative differences” with Warner Bros. This was a surprising move, and one that will cause another delay in the film’s production schedule. New Theatrical Trailer for THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Released
Hot off the heels of the Wonder Woman trailer yesterday, Warner Bros. has given us a peek at another upcoming DC film. The studio has released the fourth theatrical trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie, a spin-off starring Will Arnett’s brick Dark Knight. This trailer is chock full of new footage, giving us new looks at Joker and Barbara Gordon. There is even a funny Batman v Superman reference thrown in for good measure. Ciarán Hinds Will Play Steppenwolf in JUSTICE LEAGUE
The villain Steppenwolf was introduced in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The scene was later included in the Ultimate Edition release. Since then, it was confirmed that the character will serve as the main villain in next year’s Justice League, which recently wrapped production. As we draw closer to its release next summer, the marketing campaign for DC Films’ Wonder Woman is now in full force. After last week’s classification, Warner Bros. has released a new theatrical trailer for the movie. The trailer is full of great new footage, teasing story details and jaw-dropping action sequences. Arrow introduced the al Ghul family in season two, when Nyssa made her debut. Then, in season three, Ra’s al Ghul served as the main villain, while the League of Assassins was disbanded last year. Today’s DC TV news round-up begins with a new addition to Arrow‘s cast. According to Variety, The Walking Dead alum Juliana Harkavy has landed a recurring role in The CW series’ fifth season.
