We’ve previously heard that Ben Affleck’s Batman costume in 2016’s Batman vs. Superman will be unlike any other movie costume for the Dark Knight, and will reportedly take influence from Jim Lee’s iconic design. Now, that has been backed up by Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Garner. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight (via CBM), the former Elektra is asked if she will enjoy her husband’s Batman costume at home. “I don’t think I could get him out of the suit. So no, I’ll probably go to set and look from afar.” She then gushes over seeing the suit, reaffirming that it’ll be completely different from what we’ve seen before. “I’ve seen the suit! The suit is unbelievably cool. It’s a total reinvention! It looks great!” Many fans have been hoping to see an official image of the Batfleck costume by the time production begins. Hopefully, we’ll see something soon.
Batman vs. Superman (not the final title) is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. The follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
