Today, we have this weekend’s box office update for Justice League, which has finally passed a key box office milestone.
Per Box Office Mojo, the DC film earned second place this weekend, grossing an estimated $9.5 million. This brings its domestic total to $212.1 million. Meanwhile, the movie has cracked the $400 million mark overseas, and its worldwide total is now $613.4 million.
It’s been reported that Justice League needs at least $700 million to break even. Right now, the movie is about $87 million away from hitting that figure. However, to address the elephant in the room… Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out this weekend, and it is on track to open with at least $200 million. So, it’s going to slow down every other movie that’s out, including Justice League. We’ll see if it can even hit the break-even point now.
Stay tuned for more box office updates as we have them.
