REVIEW: Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) Written By: Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal Directed By: Sidney J Furie I opened my reviews of Superman III and Supergirl with a question, so it’s only fair to ask one going into this one. Zack Snyder Says Grant Gustin’s Flash Wouldn’t Have Been a “Good Fit” For the DC Extended Universe
Over the years, fans have debated the idea of DC’s television shows, including The Flash, potentially crossing over with the cinematic DC Extended Universe. Warner Bros. confirmed years ago that such a crossover isn’t happening, but it’s still a frequent talking point for some reason. For example, Grant Gustin will not reprise his role as The Flash for the DCEU. Instead, Ezra Miller will play the cinematic version of Barry Allen. Now, Justice League director Zack Snyder explains to NY Daily News why Gustin’s Flash isn’t in the movies. Quite frankly, the show’s tone wouldn’t have worked well within the greater DCEU. “I just don’t think it was a good…

More from Producer Charles Roven on PG-13 vs. R Ratings in the DC Extended Universe
In a new interview with Collider, DC Extended Universe producer Charles Roven again discussed the topic of MPAA ratings for these movies. Roven reaffirms that in this interview, and he rehashes past comments about Suicide Squad targeting a PG-13 rating. He then gives his reasoning for why the DCEU should remain PG-13…for the time being, anyways. “…I think that the DC Justice League characters, particularly because so many of them are so iconographic, have been around for so long and for so many generations that have grown up with…
