Black Mask Will Be the Main Villain of BIRDS OF PREY
Batman’s rogues gallery is one of the best in comics. With characters like Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and of course the Joker, it’s easy for us to forget some one the lesser known baddies. It appears that Warner Brothers has finally realized that Batman has a plethora of villains at their disposal. According to The Wrap, Black Mask will be the main villain in DC’s Birds of Prey. Black Mask is a crime lord in Gotham City who, you guessed it, wears a black mask. Roman Sionis (Blak Mask) has had a couple of different origin stories in the past. Don’t Expect the Dark Knight to Appear in the BATWOMAN Series
The Batwoman series will be the first time we visit Gotham City on The CW. With Batwoman having a strong connection to Batman, many have wondered if the Caped Crusader would finally appear on television. Well, we finally know the answer to that question. After Oliver Queen’s name drop in Arrow season six this might be the only chance for a Batman cameo of some sort. During the Television Critics Association press tour, CW president Mark Pedowitz said: Batman already exists in the Arrowverse, Batwoman lives in Gotham but there are no plans at this time to have Batman appear. It’s worth pointing out that Pedowitz said that “there are no…

SUPERGIRL Movie in the Works at Warner Bros. and DC Films
As Warner Bros. continues to restructure its DC Films slate, yet another title has been put into development. 22 Jump Street and The Cloverfield Paradox scribe Oren Uziel has been hired to write a new movie starring Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl. The project is in very early development (directors aren’t being approached yet), but this comes at an interesting time for Superman on film. After starring in three movies, Henry Cavill’s Superman has been waiting for another solo film. But with his three movies getting polarizing reception and Cavill’s new contract negotiations with WB not finalized, fans have wondered what’s next for the franchise. Well, Supergirl could create a new…

BATWOMAN to Start Filming in Spring 2019
With Batwoman appearing in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, it would only make sense for them to spin her off into her own series. We already knew that a spin-off was in the works, but now we have a filming date. Our friends at GWW recently shared some new information. Batwoman is looking for a spring 2019 start date. We don’t know if it will be shot in Vancouver, where all of the Arrowverse shows are filmed, or possibly in Toronto, where Titans and Suicide Squad filmed. With a Spring shoot, it will likely air sometime next fall, assuming it goes to series. For more news on Batwoman and all things DCTV, stay…

To the Movies currently playing at a theater near you. And now, another movie has entered development. According to Collider, LEGO Batman scribe Jared Stern is writing a Super Pets movie, which unites the pets of various DC characters. In the comics, the Legion of Super-Pets consisted of characters like Krypto, Streaky, Bat-Cow, any many more. The lineup for this movie is unknown at this time. CW Seed’s third animated DC series, Constantine: City of Demons, premiered earlier this year. The series brings Matt Ryan’s John Constantine back into the spotlight, despite not being a continuation of the NBC series. While we’ve been waiting on a second season of the show, it looks like that’ll come in the form of a movie. The movie version will have an hour of new footage, bringing its runtime to 90 minutes. This is similar to when WB released both seasons of Vixen as a full-length…

AQUAMAN Will Reportedly Have a Post-Credits Scene
Post- and mid-credits scenes are becoming more and more common in blockbuster films. But while Suicide Squad and Justice League had additional scenes, DC Films’ other three titles did not. Thus, fans have wondered if we should expect more movies to follow suit. And if this new report is to be believed, DC’s next movie will do it. According to Discussing Film, Aquaman will have a post-credits scene. While we won’t spoil what it is here, it is designed to set up a potential sequel. Discussing Film also says that there is potential for this scene to be cut, since we’re still a few months away from release. For details on…

TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES Comes Behind Expectations with Estimated $10.5 Million Opening
A few weeks ago, Teen Titans GO! To the Movies was tracking to open somewhere between $14 million and $19 million. However, the weekend estimates are in, and the film is opening with even less than that. Per Box Office Mojo, Teen Titans GO! is opening with an estimated $10.5 million, putting it in 5th place. Meanwhile, the film opened in eight international markets, bringing in about $1 million, putting its worldwide debut at $11.5 million. Additionally, the movie earned a lukewarm B+ on CinemaScore, while critics have been very positive. This is definitely an underwhelming debut for Teen Titans GO!, especially given its initial tracking. However, it’s still a stretch…

Review: TEEN TITANS: TROUBLE IN TOKYO
Before I start with this review, I never really saw this show all the seasons out. I saw some episodes here and there, but never watched every episode. But with that said. Throughout my watch of Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, it felt like I watched a reverse Mask of Phantasm. With Mask of the Phantasm, I got the feeling that people went all out, doing a worthy entry of the animated series. Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo came off as a last minute attempt to cash in on the fans that desperately wanted some more content based on the show they loved. The biggest reason for this is the animation.…
