Entertainment Weekly has posted a new “Spoiler Room” article, and in it, new details regarding two new characters coming to The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow were revealed.
First up, we have new insight on Jay Garrick’s role on The Flash. The show’s second season will focus on Barry Allen continuing to learn his powers, and luckily, the Flash from Earth-2 will help with that. Caitlin Snow actress Danielle Panabaker says, “[Jay]’s going to be a very cool mentor to Barry and he’s going to help Barry expand his powers and the things that he’s capable of doing.” And Garrick’s arrival will apparently have an impact on every member of Team Flash.
Meanwhile, EW also discussed Hawkman’s role on the midseason series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It looks like we could see this character appear even sooner during the first few episodes of The Flash and Arrow this season, which are already working towards building up to Legends. Also, this version of Carter Hall will be a charismatic, wise and confident leader who is over 5,000 years old. And similar to the comics, Hall “retains his memories of his past lives each time he is reborn, though his lover (aka Hawkgirl) is born anew. In other words, Kendra Saunders will have no idea who he is at first.”
Some very interesting info here about two highly anticipated superheroes coming to the CW-DC Universe. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
The Flash returns to The CW on October 6th, while DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres early next year.
