A WOBAM Thanksgiving
Hi, everyone! It’s been a while, but in the spirit of the holidays and reminiscing on joining WOBAM Entertainment, I’d like to reflect on the online community I’ve become a part of in the past 2 years, and how I’m beyond thankful for being able to join in. I know for a fact that we here at WOBAM are all tremendously thankful for our readers. We’ve been going strong for close to 5 years, and we would have never gotten this far without all of y’all supporting us. So thanks for coming along for the ride. I’m grateful for the online community we’ve been able to be a part of.…

Opinion: Why POKEMON STADIUM Needs to Return
I can imagine some reactions right now. Going from being confused, horrified or downright shocked. Getting nightmares from the days of old on how a simple random trailer could be so horrifying because you were afraid that a gamble you took would fail miserably. For you that wonder what I’m talking about, let me give you some context. On August 1, 1999, Pokemon Stadium was released in Japan, with a western release one year later. While there isn’t a story to follow or Pokemon to catch, there is still the access to defeat gym leaders and different types of tournaments. You also have the chance to play some small variety…

FEATURE: Nine Pokemon that Need an Evolution
9. Weezing Some of you might ask. What? Weezing? He is used competitively from time to time. While I do stand that Weezing doesn’t need one when it comes to stats, abilities and all that jazz, I think they there is still potential in the Weezing family. That’s why this Pokemon is so low on the list. 8. RapidashWhile this is not as reliable as Weezing, I would argue that Rapidash is here due to the same reason. The potential of what they could make with this fire horse design could go much further than just a stereotypical unique. Maybe give it wings and go full mythology? 7. Lanturn Granted,…

How LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST’s Stories Can Continue After Netflix Cancellations
Netflix recently made headlines with the decision to cancel two of its Marvel shows, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Fans have talked a lot about the news, why the shows got cancelled, and what it means for the rest of Netflix’s Marvel slate. But one big question remains: What is the future of Iron Fist and Luke Cage in the MCU? In the announcement on Iron Fist‘s cancellation, it was said that the character will “live on,” which led to speculation about a revival for Disney Play. Meanwhile, there hasn’t been anything on a potential comeback for Luke Cage yet. But both shows have plenty of potential for more stories, especially…

Opinion: Why the DAREDEVIL Movie is Better than the DAREDEVIL TV Show
Hello! You’re here! Welcome to this hot take. I know there’s multiple opinions on this topic, and I’m in the very tiny minority. If you listened to our Daredevil Podcast, you got a small glimpse of this argument, and if you haven’t listened, you should! But here goes nothing! Why the Daredevil movie is better than the Daredevil TV show. Ah Daredevil. Highly controversial, this movie isn’t one of the best. But it isn’t one of the worst. I really enjoyed Jennifer Gardner‘s portrayal of Elektra, she gave the role some sexiness, bad***ery that it desperately needed. The plot was terrible, but I actually enjoyed the script. Writing can be good…

Why VENOM is the Best Comic Book Movie of 2018
This year has seen the release of several comic book movies. T’Challa defended his kingdom against Killmonger in Black Panther, Thanos took on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War, the Merc with a Mouth met new friends in Deadpool 2, and the world’s smallest heroes joined forces in Ant-Man and The Wasp. The latest movie is Sony’s Venom, which intends to kick off a new franchise composed of the studio’s Marvel characters. Despite making a lot of money, Venom has been trashed by critics, receiving a 30% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 35 on Metacritic. These are the worst reviews of any comic book movie that came out this…

Why BATMAN BEYOND Should Be DC Universe’s Next Live Action Series
After their first show, Titans, it’s time that we give the DC Universe its next project, Batman Beyond. For those of you who don’t know, Batman Beyond is the sequel series to Batman: The Animated Series. It focuses on Terry McGinnis. The Batman of 2039 (the year changed constantly). Terry is a high school kid who happens to run into a now-retired Bruce Wayne. Taking place in Neo-Gotham, Terry, with the help of Bruce, becomes the Batman of a new age taking on a slew of new villains and even some old ones. Batman Beyond is a cross between Spider-Man and Blade Runner. The future setting is something we haven’t seen…

Five Members Who Should Join James Gunn’s SUICIDE SQUAD
James Gunn writing the Suicide Squad Sequel has us reeling with possibilities of potential players. We pushed out villains we want to see as part of the squad, but let’s take a look at some members for our villains to bounce off of, and some characters operating in morally grey seeking to serve their debt, or not be exposed by Waller. Black Orchid (Suicide Squad #4 August 1987) Yes, the current Black Orchid, Alba Garcia, is a member of Justice League: Dark, and there’s a chance they might want to use the current incarnation. However, the original Black Orchid, Susan Linden-Thorne, mysterious investigator and master of disguise, worked with Suicide…

30 Years Later: The Legacy of Venom
There are few Marvel Comics characters that have stood the test of time better than Venom. Originally created as a Spider-Man villain in 1988, he went on to become an antihero. This year, Venom celebrates his 30th anniversary, and a lot is going on this year. The Venom movie is out now, the comics have taken the character into game-changing new territory, and he remains a player in Marvel’s animated work. In this article, we will be revisiting some highlights of Venom’s 30-year history. Technically, the Symbiote was first created in 1984, as it bonded with Peter Parker and gave Spider-Man his iconic black suit. However, it wasn’t until 1988…
