First Official Look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Future JOKER
Warner Bros. has begun production on its Joker movie, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as the future villain in a new origin story. While we wait for a press release announcing the start of filming, we have a first-look photo from the movie. Director Todd Phillips shared a first look at Phoenix’s character, named Arthur Fleck. Fleck is clearly lacking the Joker’s signature makeup and green hair, but that’s kind of the point. The movie will be a character study that examines Fleck’s descent into madness, and it is expected to be extremely different from past Jokers. Check it out below, and stay tuned for more as we have it. View…

SUPERGIRL: Potential Story Details, Villain
No matter your thoughts about the potential for a Supergirl movie, it clearly is going to happen by the looks of it. While we have no idea who’s playing her, we might have some story nuggets. According to Superbromovies’ DanielRPK, the movies appear to go half/half. According to him, the movie is going to spend a good chunk of it on Krypton and a good chunk on earth, with the time period being the 1970s. The villain? That’s apparently going to be Brainiac. What do you think about this? Comment below and let us know, or let us know on any social media site, @WOBAMEnt. Source: Discussing Film

Opinion: The POKEMON Anime Needs a Reboot and Ash Should Retire
No, I don’t think they should stop doing a Pokémon anime or movies for that matter. The series is such a big cash cow that I can’t blame The Pokémon Company for keep on doing this. But Ash is a character that has met his “best before date” years ago. I’ve had this feeling for years, but it got abundantly clear when I watched a movie called Pokémon: Clash of Ages. It’s a movie that starts off fairly strong but loses its focus faster than a speeding bullet as soon as Ash and his friends get into the picture. How are they introduced you might ask? They happen to be…

Arrowverse’s Batwoman Crossover Casts Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries
This year’s Arrowverse crossover event is a big one, despite not involving Legends of Tomorrow. The event introduces Batwoman and Lois Lane to the universe, while Superman is returning. Now, The CW has announced another key addition. Cassandra Jean Amell – aka the real-life wife of Arrow star Stephen Amell – is set to play Nora Fries in the crossover. Fries is the wife of Batman villain Victor Fries, aka Mr. Freeze. However, don’t expect the cool villain to show up and break the ice in the event. Amell’s past credits include America’s Next Top Model, Mad Men, and more. Nora’s exact role in the crossover is being kept under…

Shane West Joins GOTHAM Season 5 in Villainous Role
Gotham seems to be a show that you either love or hate. Everywhere, from YouTube to social media, the only reactions to the show I see is either “this is the best show ever” or “I hate this ….. show.” I’ve yet to find anyone that seems to be in the middle with its taste. Anyway, with it gearing up to its final season, Gotham seems to have added yet another villain to its roster. Enter Shane West, who, according to Deadline, is playing Eduardo Dorrance which is an old war buddy of Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie.). Any big fan of Batman lore more than likely recognizes that…

SWAMP THING Writer Teases Costume and Hard R-Rated Approach
For you that are unaware, DC Comics’ upcoming Swamp Thing show and recent Conjuring spinoff The Nun share screenwriters. But I guess that’s Nun of my business. During an interview with /Film, Gary Dauberman talks about Swamp Thing among some other stuff. He confirms that, just like Titans, the show will be rated R (and a hard one at that). They want to try and push it as hard as they can. He also confirmed that Alan Moore’s run of the creature is their main inspiration, and he mentioned that the creature will not be CGI but an actual suit. What do you think about this? Comment below and let…

Film Review: Bleach (2018)
Just like how we in the west love to adapt comic books, Japan loves to adapt their mangas. So I guess it was a matter of time that Bleach got the treatment. For those who are unaware, Bleach is a manga that started in 2001, created by Tite Kubo. The story follows the human Ichigo Kurosaki, whose life changes when the soul reaper Rukia visits his home. In the near future I will be covering the Bleach anime for WOBAM, and I’m aiming to start around Halloween for that. With that said, let’s start the movie review. Sweet Christmas. After the fiasco that was the Attack on Titan movies, as…
