FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×03- “The Death of Vibe”
The Flash (5×03)- “The Death of Vibe” Written by: Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza Directed by: Andi Armaganian Welcome back, let’s go kill Vibe! After our first real glimpse of the Flash Museum in the future it’s time to give a more in depth introduction to Darth Malgus… I mean Cicada. Totally Cicada, I don’t mean that they totally aped his look from a video game character at all because that would be mean and if you’ve learned anything about me these last four plus years it’s that I’m kind to a fault… SHUT UP! So anyway, in the future Cicada has achieved Jack the Ripper like status because he…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 3
Catch up on our previous reviews here. When a new TV show premieres, it can take several episodes for it to find it’s place while it struggles with what tone and stories it seeks to tell. Some make that jump easily, other shows take a bit longer. A few shows never survive this crucible. Cory Anders (Anna Diop) takes the forefront here, saving Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) from the nuclear family, flambeing the Nuclear Dad (Jeff Clarke) in the process, and winning Rache’s respect by taking down a smalltime punk and his posse. They both seek answers to their own questions and hope that answering one mystery would solve the…

Recap: ARROW S7 E2 – The Longbow Hunters
This week’s episode of Arrow pretty much continues the storyline on last week’s. We have Ollie in prison struggling to keep his ideals, Felicity wanting to take down Diaz, and Diggle leading a mission with A.R.G.U.S., oh and of course we can’t forget about our flash-forwards with Will and Roy. We do a bit more character work with our cast, with Oliver gone they have to find what their goals are, and how to operate as individuals. This mostly deals with Felicity. She is being consumed by her hatred of Diaz. She’s becoming desperate and it shows. We have Felicity at A.R.G.U.S. with Dig and Curtis. They essentially need to…

John Wesley Shipp’s Flash Will Return in Arrowverse’s “Elseworlds” Crossover
John Wesley Shipp has played a key supporting role on The Flash, first as Barry Allen’s father and then as speedster Jay Garrick. But before all that, he played Barry Allen himself in the 1990 The Flash television series. Well, it looks like he will reprise that role for the Arrowverse’s next crossover event. Arrow star Stephen Amell tweeted the following “Elseworlds” set photo, featuring Oliver Queen and Barry Allen in their swapped costumes, as well as Supergirl. But most significantly, it shows John Wesley Shipp in his original Flash costume. No big deal. Just working with @JohnWesleyShipp for the first time. Nice of him to dress up for the…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×02- “Blocked”
The Flash (5×02)- “Blocked” Written by: Eric Wallace & Judalina Neira Directed by: C Kim Miles Episode two! Let’s go! Here’s an obligatory picture of Anakin Skywalker pouting to complete the joke and we’re rolling! So the episode opens with Cicada flashing back to killing Gridlock then it’s over to the West Home where Barry and Nora are hiding everything she told her father… Hold on! Scratch that, they’re telling everyone what she told Barry last week! What’s this?! Open and honest dialogue between the team about stuff that affects all their lives? Review: DAREDEVIL Season 3
It’s funny. When I first heard that Marvel was doing a TV show with Netflix based on the Daredevil property, I got confused. Before the announcement, I always thought that they would introduce him through a movie instead of a show. Fast forward years later, and I can safely say that I fully understand now. Sure, I would love to see Daredevil on the big screen again one day, but in an era of flashy superpowers, mighty gadgets, and all that being shown on the big screen, I don’t know if Daredevil would work for the big screen (even though I would love to be wrong). Anyway, let’s go on…

“Bye, Felicia” – Netflix Cancels LUKE CAGE
Fresh on the heels of Iron Fist‘s mortalization, another hero had his bulletproof exterior shattered. Late Friday evening, Netflix and Marvel Television announced that Luke Cage would not be returning for its third season. “Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season,” the companies said in a statement. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.” Cage’s small screen journey started as a supporting role in Jessica Jones, before branching off into a solo series and The Defenders…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 2
Read our review of Titans Episode One! Sigh… I am still trying to hold on to hope. This review is going to discuss some events, especially in the final moments of the episode, which are very spoilerific. There will be an indicator where that starts. Episode two of Titans, Hawk and Dove spend time bringing the feathered few to the flesh, devoting the first ten minutes to their life and relationship. Alan Ritchson brings us a nuanced Hank Hall, quick to anger, quick to quip, interacting with the world with his heart on his sleeve, and raises the rating of the show by his words alone. Minka Kelly remains undisturbed…

Opinion: Why the DAREDEVIL Movie is Better than the DAREDEVIL TV Show
Hello! You’re here! Welcome to this hot take. I know there’s multiple opinions on this topic, and I’m in the very tiny minority. If you listened to our Daredevil Podcast, you got a small glimpse of this argument, and if you haven’t listened, you should! But here goes nothing! Why the Daredevil movie is better than the Daredevil TV show. Ah Daredevil. Highly controversial, this movie isn’t one of the best. But it isn’t one of the worst. I really enjoyed Jennifer Gardner‘s portrayal of Elektra, she gave the role some sexiness, bad***ery that it desperately needed. The plot was terrible, but I actually enjoyed the script. Writing can be good…
