STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN – Rumor for Casting, Details, and First Images

The Mandalorian Rumors- first image

We have our first look at the new live-action Star Wars TV show! Jon Favreau released details on his Instagram account, which you can see below. The TV series has already attracted directors Dave Filoni, Taika Watiti, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa. Filoni will kick the series off, and well deserved for him after leading the charge on Star Wars TV shows with Star Wars: Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: Resistance.

Kathleen Kennedy will serve as an executive producer alongside Filoni and Favreau, and had this to say about the show.

I couldn’t be more excited about Jon coming on board to produce and write for the new direct-to-consumer platform… Jon brings the perfect mix of producing and writing talent, combined with a fluency in the Star Wars universe. This series will allow Jon the chance to work with a diverse group of writers and directors and give Lucasfilm the opportunity to build a robust talent base.”

I don’t know about yall, but this sounds like an audition for movie directing to me. What are yall thinking? No matter what, the directors that have signed on are phenomenal and I know they will do an even more phenomenal job.

Now we have a rumor for casting. Pedro Pascal is the name that’s being floated around. With credits such as Game of Thrones, Narco, and Wonder Woman 1984, this is a pretty big name being brought up, but something that could happen. The casting list should hopefully be out soon, however there is no official date yet on the release of Disney Play, or The Mandalorian.
