JUMP FORCE Adds Yugi from YU-GI-OH!
Do you love card games? Do you love fighting games? Do you love anime? If you said yes to all three, then I have some good news for you. Yugi, from the card loving franchise Yu-Gi-Oh!, is joining Jump Force, Shonen Jump’s answer to Super Smash Bros. Our card wielding hero joins the likes of Son Goku from Dragon Ball, Luffy from One Piece, Naruto from Naruto, Ichigo from Bleach, and Gon from Hunter x Hunter. Jump Force is said to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC next year. No word on a Switch version, but considering Dragon Ball Fighter Z came out later on the Nintendo Switch…you get the drill.…

Shane West Joins GOTHAM Season 5 in Villainous Role
Gotham seems to be a show that you either love or hate. Everywhere, from YouTube to social media, the only reactions to the show I see is either “this is the best show ever” or “I hate this ….. show.” I’ve yet to find anyone that seems to be in the middle with its taste. Anyway, with it gearing up to its final season, Gotham seems to have added yet another villain to its roster. Enter Shane West, who, according to Deadline, is playing Eduardo Dorrance which is an old war buddy of Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie.). Any big fan of Batman lore more than likely recognizes that…

SWAMP THING Writer Teases Costume and Hard R-Rated Approach
For you that are unaware, DC Comics’ upcoming Swamp Thing show and recent Conjuring spinoff The Nun share screenwriters. But I guess that’s Nun of my business. During an interview with /Film, Gary Dauberman talks about Swamp Thing among some other stuff. He confirms that, just like Titans, the show will be rated R (and a hard one at that). They want to try and push it as hard as they can. He also confirmed that Alan Moore’s run of the creature is their main inspiration, and he mentioned that the creature will not be CGI but an actual suit. What do you think about this? Film Review: Bleach (2018)
Just like how we in the west love to adapt comic books, Japan loves to adapt their mangas. So I guess it was a matter of time that Bleach got the treatment. For those who are unaware, Bleach is a manga that started in 2001, created by Tite Kubo. The story follows the human Ichigo Kurosaki, whose life changes when the soul reaper Rukia visits his home. In the near future I will be covering the Bleach anime for WOBAM, and I’m aiming to start around Halloween for that. With that said, let’s start the movie review. Sweet Christmas. After the fiasco that was the Attack on Titan movies, as…

VENOM Gets a PG-13 Rating and Eyes a New October Record
We are Venom and so are you! We’re just a short three weeks away from Venom infecting the cinema, and it’s pretty good news all around. First up, the MPAA has officially given Venom a PG-13 rating. AMC lists the film’s runtime at 1 hour 52 minutes, putting it right at a comfortable spot that shouldn’t overstay its welcome. Elsewhere, the Sony spin-off appears to be one for the record books. Updated tracking puts Venom in the $60-70 million opening weekend range, which would set a new October record. The current record holder is Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, which bowed at $55.7 million in 2013. Venom is positioned as the first…

FEATURE: The Decline of The Movie Star is a Loss For Us All
If recent news is to be believed, Henry Cavill is out as the Man of Steel. If yesterday’s report from TMZ is to be believed, that story is a nothingburger. Whichever is the case, we find ourselves with a British mustachio who’s rising star has seen considerable box office success in 2018. Henry Cavill, the 35 year old at the center of this story, has been on a rocky journey since taking the Superman role. When Man of Steel premiered in 2013, audiences were firmly split on his brooding take with a sharpened edge. As Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice barreled forward in 2016, hopes were high that director…

Review: DRAGON BALL HEROES Episode 3
I don’t know if I should laugh or not considering what I wrote in my episode two review, which you can find HERE. There, I mention how every episode should premiere closer to each other, and after that, Toei Animation waits, about two months, instead of the two weeks that we had last time. I know that you probably won’t read this Toei, but if your main focus is on Dragon Ball Super Broly, why didn’t you wait with this then? It’s quite clear that their main focus is on the movie, considering the animation is for this episode is BAD. Some scenes reminded me of when Berus fought Goku…
