AQUAMAN Artwork Reveals Full Look at Ocean Master and Black Manta’s Costumes
The Aquaman hype train rolls on, as we wait for the film’s San Diego Comic-Con panel this Saturday. Today, Den of Geek has premiered its SDCC exclusive magazine, featuring breathtaking artwork based on the movie. The artwork features the film’s main cast, along with other characters and locations. Most significantly, it offers a long-awaited first look at Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson) and Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) fully suited up. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Won’t Be Part of the Next Arrowverse Crossover
Fans were excited to hear that this year’s annual Arrowverse crossover event will center around Batwoman and Gotham City. In fact, Batwoman is going to be the star of her own series soon. However, it looks like one show won’t be part of the event. According to Entertainment Weekly, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out this year’s crossover. The event will consist of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash. No reason why Legends will be absent. It’s also unclear if this rules out any Legends characters in the event or just its episode that week. SHAZAM! Covers Entertainment Weekly’s Exclusive SDCC 2018 Issue
Entertainment Weekly has revealed its second San Diego Comic-Con 2018 cover, which will be available exclusively online and at the convention. This cover brings DC Films’ next big hero to the spotlight. The cover features Zachary Levi suited up as the titular hero in Shazam!, which will be part of Warner Bros. and DC’s panel this Saturday. The magazine also has some quotes from Levi, who pitches the film as “Superman Meets Big.” He also says that, unlike many modern superheroes, Billy Batson will actually love being a hero and can’t wait to use his powers. BATWOMAN TV Series in the Works
Batwoman is coming to The CW! But wait. You’re confused. You already knew this from reading this article HERE? There’s more! We’re getting a Batwoman TV series! Hollywood Reporter has the details, but we’ll give you the gist. The series will star Kate Kane, DC Comic’s prominent LGBTQ superhero, street fighter extraordinaire, working on overcoming her demons. Kate will still be officially introduced in the crossover in December, but Greg Berlanti and Caroline Dries(Vampire Diaries, Smallville) are working on writing some scripts for the character if The CW should choose to greenlight a series. Diana Prince Suits Up in New WONDER WOMAN 1984 Image
Production began last week on the highly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel, titled Wonder Woman 1984. The announcement included a couple first-look images, one of which confirmed Steve Trevor’s return. Now, we have another new still. Star Gal Gadot shared a new image on Twitter, featuring her in the iconic Wonder Woman costume. While most superhero costumes tend to change with every other movie, Wonder Woman’s has remained consistent, and 1984 is no exception. It was announced this week that Djimon Hounsou is in DC’s Shazam! movie, replacing Ron Cephas Jones as The Wizard. This comes after he reprised the role of Korath in Captain Marvel. But it turns out that Hounsou has another role in DC Films’ universe; one that we’ll see even sooner, in fact.
