John CONSTANTINE Will Indeed Be British In NBC Pilot

More details on NBC’s Constantine pilot have found their way online, and fans of the DC/Vertigo character will be pleased with the latest news. According to Bleeding Cool, John Constantine will hail from London, and will have a British accent. Keanu Reeves’ take on the character in 2005’s Constantine film wasn’t British, much to the frustration of fans. Also, the NBC version is expected to be blonde. We just have to stay tuned to find out who will be playing John Constantine.

The Constantine pilot will be directed by Neil Marshall. Daniel Cerone wrote the script, based on a story he conceived with David S. Goyer. Casting is underway for John Constantine and three other characters. If ordered to series, it will likely premiere on NBC next fall.
