Yet another DC character has been confirmed to appear on the debut season of The Flash. According to TV Line, casting is underway for the role of Sargent Bette Sans Souci, aka Plastique. This marks the character’s second live action appearance after Smallville. The Flash‘s version of Plastique is described as, “a fetching young redhead who was a bomb specialist with the Army before she was injured by an IED in Iraq. Since being exposed to the Central City explosion, she can turn any object into a bomb with just a touch of her hand.” While the character is often depicted as a villain, TV Line says that Souci will serve as a “comrade” for Flash. Plastique is also known for her connections to Justice League member Captain Atom. Could we eventually see him pop up in the Arrowverse as well? Stay tuned for more news as we have it. The Flash premieres October 7th on The CW.
