JUSTICE LEAGUE: THRONE OF ATLANTIS Casts MAN OF STEEL Actor Harry Lennix As Black Manta
This week saw the release of the trailer for DC’s next animated film, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, and it revealed the presence of popular Aquaman antagonist Black Manta, who wasn’t in the original story arc. While we knew who would be voicing the rest of the main characters in the Justice League: War sequel, Black Manta’s voice actor was unknown. Now, however, we know who will be providing the character’s voice, and it’s somebody that Man of Steel fans would easily recognize.
DC animation publicist Garry Miereanu has revealed on his Twitter page that Justice League: Throne of Atlantis‘s Black Manta will be voiced by Harry Lennix, who played General Swanwick in the last live action DC movie, Man of Steel. The actor is also known for his part in announcing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which he will reprise his role, at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. Fans have come to be a fan of Lennix’s voice, so hearing him voice an iconic DC supervillain such as Black Manta will be a treat.
Glad you asked. Versatile @HarryJLennix is voicing Manta. “@juniorjedi14: who’s playing Black Manta in Throne of Atlantis?” #JLAtlantis
