SUICIDE SQUAD Filming In Toronto Next Year; Working Title Revealed

Warner Bros.’ next DC Comics adaptation after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be Suicide Squad, which unites many of the universe’s iconic villains. The movie, written and directed by David Ayer, is in the process of assembling an impressive cast. Margot Robbie is reportedly set to play Harley Quinn, while Jai Courtney is said to be in talks for Deadshot. Tom Hardy is also negotiating to play team leader Rick Flagg, while superstar Will Smith has been linked to an unknown role that is possibly Captain Boomerang. As for more recognizable DC characters, Jared Leto is circling the role of The Joker, and Jesse Eisenberg may reprise his role as Lex Luthor from Batman v Superman. While we wait for an official cast announcement, we now know when and where the movie will be filming.

According to Global News (via Comic Book Movie), Suicide Squad begins filming in Toronto, Canada in mid-April of next year. Production is expected to last until the end of August, as the movie will shoot at Pinewood Toronto Studios and other locations. The working title is Bravo 14. The production will surely help the Toronto economy, as it is the latest big budget film to shoot in the city. The Adam Sandler-starrer Pixels, which opens next summer, filmed in Toronto this year.
