THE FLASH Casts Liam McIntyre As The New Weather Wizard

The first metahuman antagonist Barry Allen fought on The CW’s The Flash was Clyde Mardon, who assumed the original role of the Weather Wizard. In the comics, the Weather Wizard’s alter ego is Mark Mardon, aka Clyde’s brother. This remains the case in the Arrow spin-off series, as Clyde and Mark are bank robbers who experience a plane crash during the night of the particle accelerator’s destruction. Clyde died in the pilot, but Mark will be making his presence felt on the series as well.

ComicBook.com has confirmed that Spartacus star Liam McIntyre is set to play Mark Mardon, aka the new and improved Weather Wizard. He will be present in the fifteenth and sixteenth episodes of The Flash this season. ComicBook.com has also provided a character description for Mardon. “Mark Mardon, brother to Clyde Mardon, returns to Central City to get justice for his brother’s untimely death. Mark uses his powers, similar to Clyde’s ability to control the weather, to go on a rampage to find the man that shot Clyde…Joe West.”

McIntyre is the latest Spartacus actor to join the world of Arrow and The Flash. The former series has featured Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson, Katrina Law as Nyssa, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller, and Nick Tarabay as Captain Boomerang.
