Last month, it was reported that Arrow was looking to cast a new candidate for mayor of
Starling Star City for its fourth season. The show was aiming to cast a big name for the role, and the character apparently has close ties to the Queen family. Now, with production on season four well underway, the character has been cast.
According to Access Hollywood, Star Trek: Voyager actress Jeri Ryan has been cast as Jessica Danforth on the next season of Arrow. She will guest star in episode two, “The Candidate,” which began production today. Danforth is described as “a friend of the Queen family. Her political ambitions will place her in the crosshairs of a menacing antagonist.” Could that antagonist be Anarky, who is also making his debut in this episode, or even season big bad Damien Darhk?
Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Arrow returns to The CW on October 7th.
