As we draw closer to the start of production for Wonder Woman next month, more and more news should be coming in soon. Actor Chris Pine has been reportedly cast as Steve Trevor for a while, and now, he confirms his involvement with the film.
Speaking with Premiere.fr (translation via Batman-News), Pine shared his enthusiasm about his role in Wonder Woman, and he reveals that director Patty Jenkins is shooting it on film. “I do not really know what I’m allowed to tell you. I’m super excited, of course, Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will direct, and we will shoot in film … What excites me most is to work in a movie with a superhero woman. With a woman in the lead role. I am teamed with this intelligent, beautiful and strong woman to defeat the villains and save humanity.”
With Pine officially on board, the movie is now looking to cast its remaining roles. Sean Bean and Eva Green have been rumored for the villainous roles of Ares and Circe, respectively. Expect more info to come very soon.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to hit theaters June 23rd, 2017. The fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. Patty Jenkins directs from a script by Jason Fuchs.
