POWERLESS Pilot Adds Alan Tudyk and Two More to Cast

Yesterday, it was announced that Vanessa Hudgens will star in NBC’s Powerless pilot, a workplace comedy set in the DC Universe. Now, the pilot has added three more actors to its cast, and television fans should be familiar with these names.

Via Variety, actors Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Danny Pudi (Community) and Christina Kirk (A to Z) have joined the cast of Powerless in (potential) series regular roles. Tudyk will play Del, who is described as “Emily’s (Hudgens) new boss in the claims department. Del has just been promoted, not through any merit of his own, but because he’s the owner’s son. A self-proclaimed ‘rich, over-educated globetrotting wastrel,’ Del is a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss.”

Pudi’s character, Teddy, is a “…best friend to Emily at work and her trusted confidante. He spends his days creating time-wasting pranks as a way to make their office, the ‘least super place on earth,’ just a little less ‘unsuper.'”

Finally, Kirk will play Jackie, a fan of superheroes who “…has plastered her office cubicle with beefcake shots of super guys. The new claims department boss Del makes her his personal assistant, and she begins buckling under his unreasonable and impossible demands.”

As we draw closer to the beginning of production, expect more casting for the Powerless pilot to be announced soon.
