New Screenwriter Hired for THE LEGO MOVIE SEQUEL

Recently, it was announced that Warner Bros. has delayed The LEGO Movie Sequel to a February 8th, 2019 release. This puts it almost a year later than its original May 2018 date. Now, more changes for the animated sequel are underway, as a new writer has been hired.

According to Variety, BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is set to rewrite the script for The LEGO Movie Sequel. This marks his first film job, following his work on television.

The original draft was penned by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who directed the first LEGO movie and are producing the second one. The sequel will be directed by Rob Schrab.
