The CW Announces Air Dates for the Next Arrowverse Crossover Event
In keeping with the annual tradition, The CW will reunite its four DC shows – Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow – for an epic crossover event. Today, at the summer Television Critics Association (TCA) tour, the network confirmed the air dates for the crossover. But, there’s a twist.
Instead of going four nights in a row, The CW is doing a two-night event, with two shows each. On Monday, November 27th, the crossover event begins with Supergirl at 8 PM EST, followed by Arrow (which is formally moving to Thursdays this season) at 9 PM. On Tuesday, November 28th, The CW will air The Flash at 8 PM and Legends of Tomorrow at 9 PM.
Regarding this unexpected schedule (via TV Line), CW president Mark Pedowitz explains, “We felt that it would be better and tighter in storytelling… This was the best way to go.” Legends was already paired with Flash from the beginning, so it makes sense to do the same for Arrow and Supergirl – at least for one night. However, Pedowitz suggests that the network may return to a four-night schedule next year.
As for other details, Pedowitz reaffirms that this is a true four-show crossover, meaning Supergirl will play a much bigger role. He concludes by teasing, “Romance is in the air.”
