WONDER WOMAN is Now the 5th Highest Grossing Superhero Film in North America
Three months after release, Wonder Woman is still making money in theaters. We’ve already posted about the multiple box office benchmarks reached by the film. This week, the movie has reached some new heights in North America.
As of today, Wonder Woman has grossed about $409.5 million domestically. This puts it ahead of Marvel sequels Iron Man 3 ($409 million) and Captain America: Civil War ($408.1 million). This also means that Wonder Woman is now the fifth highest grossing superhero film of all time in North America, behind the two Avengers sequels, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.
Additionally, Wonder Woman has reached $403.7 million overseas. This brings its worldwide total to $813.2 million. Right now, it’s only $60 million away from matching Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the current highest-grosser of the DCEU. We’ll see if that actually happens though.
Stay tuned for more box office updates as we have them.
