We’re just weeks away from the start of production on New Line Cinema’s Shazam!, the next installment of DC Films’ shared universe. The movie has been casting its characters for the last few months, and today, we have more news.
According to Deadline, Asher and No Tomorrow actress Marta Milans has joined the Shazam! cast. She will play one of the foster parents at the home where Billy Batson lives. Cooper Andrews was previously cast as the other foster parent. This news comes shortly after Ron Cephas Jones entered talks to play the Wizard and Mark Strong confirmed his role as Dr. Sivana.
Expect more news to come as we draw closer to the movie’s production start. Stay tuned.
Shazam! is set to hit theaters on April 5th, 2019. The seventh installment in the DC Films Universe stars Asher Angel, Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Faithe Herman. David F. Sandberg directs from a script by Henry Gayden.
