CAPTAIN MARVEL Recruits Composer Pinar Toprak
Marvel Studios’ first 2019 blockbuster, Captain Marvel, is currently in the final weeks of production. This week, we have confirmation of the composer for this movie’s score.
Composer Pinar Toprak announced on Instagram that she is scoring Captain Marvel. She is the first female composer to take on a major superhero movie, Marvel or otherwise. Toprak previously scored SyFy’s Krypton, while she also worked in the music group for Justice League.
This is definitely a historic move, and it especially makes sense for Captain Marvel, which is Marvel’s first female-led movie. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
Captain Marvel is scheduled to hit theaters on March 8th, 2019. The 21st installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct.
