Lady Sif Rumored as Marvel’s Next Disney+ Series
Marvel Studios has several new shows in development at the Disney+ streaming service. Loki, Vision & Scarlet Witch, and Falcon & Winter Soldier are getting their own shows, with Rocket & Groot rumored. Now, we have another rumored title to add to the list.
According to Discussing Film, Lady Sif is set to receive her own series on Disney+. Jaimie Alexander will reprise the titular role, with Kevin Feige producing. Like the rest of the Marvel shows, it will be a 6-8 episode limited series and have a $100 million budget.
Sif was a supporting character in the first two Thor movies, and she has guest starred on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a few times. But she has been mysteriously absent – likely due to Alexander’s Blindspot schedule – and fans have particularly wondered why she wasn’t in Thor: Ragnarok. It’s unclear if this show will take place before or after that movie. The Russo Brothers previously said that Sif was among the many, many casualties in Avengers: Infinity War. But, so are most of the other characters getting Disney+ shows.
Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
