Matt Smith Joins the Spider-Man Spin-Off MORBIUS

Sony continues is push for more Spider-Man spin-off films. After the success of Venom, can you blame them? With the sequel to Venom, the next film in development with is Morbius starring Jared Leto (Suicide Squad). Now, the film has found its second lead.

According to Variety, Matt Smith (The Crown) is set to co-star alongside Leto’s titular character. As of now we do not have any information on who Smith is playing. We should get more casting details in the coming months.

Morbius The Living Vampire is a classic Spider-Man villain. He had his own solo series from Marvel Comics in the early 90’s. The film will be directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life). As of now Jared Leto and Matt Smith are the only actors confirmed for the film. For more on Morbius and all things Marvel, stay tuned.
