Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Season 3 Episode 1
Holy animation craze Batman. Three manga/anime related reviews in such a short amount of time? Maybe I should change my twitter handle to Animemaniacs after all. Anyway, after my week of Attack on Titan related posts, it felt like a no-brainer to cover season 3. Wasn’t so sure if I should do an episode by episode review, or an overall season review like the previous two. But after some days of thinking, I decided to try the former just for the sake of it. Without further ado, let the review begin. The mystery from season two just keeps getting bigger as Eren and his friends are on the run. Unlike…

Gina Prince-Bythewood to Direct OLD GUARD Movie Adaptation
Today, GWW/Omega Underground has come out with yet another comic book related scoop. This time, it contains a director for the upcoming movie Old Guard, based on the Image comic book by the same name. Gina Prince-Bythewood has signed on to direct the movie, produced by Skydance. If this name sounds familiar for you, she is the same director that is attached to the supposed Silver and Black that Sony has in development, but as of right now is delayed. With Skydance both collaborating with Netflix and Paramount at the time, it’s, for now, uncertain who the distributor is going to be. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

Review: DRAGON BALL HEROES Episode 2
While the search for Trunk continues, Goku, Vegeta, and Mai cross path with a mysterious foe who wields a weird KI. Even though I got some flack for my review for this point, It’s worth repeating. Dragon Ball Heroes continues to be a massive disappointment. Just because they said that this is what we would be getting, doesn’t mean that we have to eat it up you are some mindless drone. I give the episode this; It’s far better than the pilot episode. The animation is of higher quality, the action (the little that they manage to squeeze in) was far more engaging, even though I still felt like watched…

Pilot Review: FAIRY TAIL: 100 YEAR QUEST
Before the review starts, I want to add this. I’m going to review the previous installation. It’s coming later due to my schedule. But that doesn’t mean that I want to skip the chance of another pilot review. This time for the “real” sequel to Hiro Mashimas most popular work called Fairy Tail, with the sequel called Fairytail 100 Years Quest. The story begins a time after the big war that occurred at the end of the predecessor. Natsu and his group have decided to take a shot at the 100 years quest. A quest that no magician been able to finish. It was quite the treat to return to…

Review: EDENS ZERO Chapter 4
In Chapter four, we follow our protagonists searching for a professor called Professor Wize. But something is not like it first seems to be. This chapter is probably the best yet. It’s as simplistic as the previous one but yet had you leaving wanting for more like a good episode (or in this cause a chapter). You even get some small bit of knowledge of what is likely going to be the “Dragon Balls” of this franchise, which I certainly liked. If we get more chapters like this, this has strong chances to be something really good. I certainly hope that Hiro Mashima proofs me right that he is a…

Christopher McQuarrie Addresses Potential to Direct MAN OF STEEL 2 or GREEN LANTERN CORPS
After the debacle that occurred when Christopher McQuarrie and Star Wars director Rian Johnson started a conversation on Twitter, the Mission: Impossible – Fallout director came out saying that he lost interest in doing a comic book movie. However, if a recent interview is any indicator, McQuarrie has changed his mind about the subject matter. Talking to Screen Rant, he says “To me, I’m interested in a good story. That’s really what it is. I mean, when Man of Steel came up, it was because somebody had asked me, did I want to work with Henry [Cavill] again? Which I would in a second. I go through the door that…

JOKER Casting Breakdown Reveals New Character
According to GWW/Omega Underground, we have some new information about the upcoming Joker movie. Information about a character called Mr Warner. “MR. WARNER Supporting Male (60-70) [MR. WARNER] male, Caucasian, 60s, a deeply-tanned, hair dyed so black it was almost blue, highly successful, New York City businessman, rumored to be running for Mayor. He’s a public figure in the city and a symbol of wealth [STRONG SUPPORTING]” While this isn’t any form of confirmation, it’s possible that this character is Rupert Thorne, a former businessman turned corrupt politician. Ruper Thorne is a villain having his first appearance in Detective Comics #469. He is also a recurring villain in Batman: The…

Rumor: Will Maria Hill Appear in SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME?
My spider sense is sensing something. It’s some news about Spider-Man: Far From Home. Unless Numan Acar trolled us all with Instagram hashtags, it looks like we have got some indirect confirmation of a few actors. Namely Jack Gyllenhaal (Mysterio), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill). This post is the first time we heard Maria Hill in the mix of names for this particular film. But considering she is Nick Fury’s closest ally, it might not be that surprising. Maria Hill has been a recurring character in the MCU. She most recently appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, where she was among the characters who were dusted in The…

Review: EDENS ZERO Chapter 3
I’m sorry about this late review. But life and the hottest summer in 260 years got the hold of me. With that said, let’s start it all. In this chapter, we get to know the “guild” that Rebeca is a member off and have Shiki join. If there is any chapter that makes this manga feel like Fairy Tail painted in science fiction color. The only difference is some slight change in the guilds behavior. However, there is a big difference between Edens Zero and Fairytail. Unlike Fairytail, Edens Zero has mystery building up since the first chapter, which has me somewhat intrigued. While the chapter isn’t bad, it’s nothing in…

Manga Review: BURN THE WITCH
Burn the Witch is the latest creation from the creator of Bleach, Tite Kubo. Here in this one shot, we follow Noel Niihashi, one of the many people that are fighting to protect dragons in the street of London. The first thing that makes Burn the Witch rather different to Bleach is the tone. Yes, the manga has some funny moments, but it’s closer to Attack on Titan than Dragon Ball in tone. Burn the Witch, on the other hand, is the reverse. It was a nice change of pace, considering what Kubo previously made. If you are a fan of Kubo’s earlier work, you will recognize it right away. Unlike…
