Esai Morales Cast As Deathstroke In ‘Titans’ Season 2!
With Doom Patrol ongoing on DC’s streaming app and Swamp Thing is in pre-production some casting news has come out regarding Titans season two. And it’s a BIG one. Deadline is now reporting that Latino actor Esai Morales has been cast as the big bad for ‘Titans’ season two. And it’s none other than Slade Wilson/Deathstroke himself. The character has previously been portrayed in the Arrowverse by Australian actor Manu Bennett for many seasons. The character was also featured on the big screen in the end credit-scene for Justice League by Joe Manganiello. Deathstroke is considered one of the deadliest assassins in the DC Universe and have fought the Teen…

FEATURE: Five Shows We Want To See On DC Universe
With Doom Patrol now airing on DC’s streaming service, I thought to myself what other properties would be a great fit for the DC Universe streaming service? I really do believe that superhero-properties fits better as TV-shows due to the serialized nature of the comic books. These are five shows we want on DCU! Justice League Dark This feels like a no-brainer to me, the short-lived Constantine series on NBC was really good in my opinion but sadly NBC cancelled it after just one season. The CW however retroactively weaved in Matt Ryan’s version of Constantine into the Arrowverse. With shorter seasons and a bigger budget, I really think that…

DC Universe News: Casting, Renewal and Popularity
TITANS season one was definitely one that struggled immensely trying to find its path, drawing ire far and wide from the DC fandom. The show was renewed for a season two a few weeks before the show premiered, drawing confusion from fans. This turned out to be a standard however, as purportedly, Doom Patrol has already been renewed for a second season as well. As it turns out, the renewal for TITANS was well deserved. Parrot Analytics reported to Screen Rant, as TITANS went up in demand on DC Universe as the season progressed. Parrot Analytics, a data science company tracks metrics of audience demand for TV shows does so by…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 4
Catch up on our previous reviews here. Alright, before we get into Titans, a quick lesson in Hunter Safety. In the state of Ohio, it is a first-degree misdemeanor to possess or use a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. Leave the booze for after the hunt. Be a good woodsman: Don’t litter. Especially don’t litter your empty beer cans. Hunt in the properly designated areas; don’t trespass. Get permission from the landowner before hunting on their property or stick to the public hunting grounds. Unless you’re lining up for a shot, keep your safety on. You never know when a green tiger will scare you, causing you to…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 3
Catch up on our previous reviews here. When a new TV show premieres, it can take several episodes for it to find it’s place while it struggles with what tone and stories it seeks to tell. Some make that jump easily, other shows take a bit longer. A few shows never survive this crucible. Cory Anders (Anna Diop) takes the forefront here, saving Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) from the nuclear family, flambeing the Nuclear Dad (Jeff Clarke) in the process, and winning Rache’s respect by taking down a smalltime punk and his posse. They both seek answers to their own questions and hope that answering one mystery would solve the…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 2
Read our review of Titans Episode One! Sigh… I am still trying to hold on to hope. This review is going to discuss some events, especially in the final moments of the episode, which are very spoilerific. There will be an indicator where that starts. Episode two of Titans, Hawk and Dove spend time bringing the feathered few to the flesh, devoting the first ten minutes to their life and relationship. Alan Ritchson brings us a nuanced Hank Hall, quick to anger, quick to quip, interacting with the world with his heart on his sleeve, and raises the rating of the show by his words alone. Minka Kelly remains undisturbed…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 1
Hopes and expectations are difficult things. There’s a joke that the best comic books are the ones you read when you’re thirteen, and I think that extends to all media. Especially nowadays when nostalgia is the shorthand to connect with an audience, and the franchises we loved as kids return for Box office Gold. The Teen Titans animated TV series left its mark on western animation, and I feel it’s impossible to talk about Titans without feeling its fingerprints. The leadup to the premiere of Titans was marked by reactions by the fans who clearly have a love of these characters. It is very hard to come to Titans with…

Deathstroke Will Appear on TITANS…Eventually
DC Universe’s Titans is set to bring many iconic Teen Titans characters to life, and with a season two renewal already confirmed, that’s only going to keep going. But one character fans have wondered about is Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke. Despite his strong ties to the Titans, Deathstroke has been a part of DC’s plans for other projects. However, that isn’t going to stop Slade from coming to DC Universe. At New York Comic-Con, producer Geoff Johns confirmed that Deathstroke will (eventually) make his presence felt on Titans. “You’ll see Deathstroke in Titans eventually, but it’ll be a new version. You’ll definitely see it in the show.” Jim Lee adds that…

DC Universe Renews TITANS for Season 2
A lot is riding on Titans, the first of several original shows for DC Universe. The series is also the first live action incarnation of the Teen Titans team, while it will take a far more mature tone than your usual DC show. However, DC is clearly confident in the series, to the point where it has already been renewed. At New York Comic-Con last night, DC announced that Titans has been renewed for a second season. This comes one week before the show officially premieres on DC Universe. Producer Geoff Johns confirmed at the panel that season two has been mapped out, and they already know what characters and…

TITANS Will Stream Internationally on Netflix; New Trailer Released
When DC Universe first launched, fans were quick to point out that it is only available in the United States. So, how will international viewers be able to watch original shows like Titans? Well, we finally have an answer. Netflix has acquired the international distribution rights to Titans. The service will stream the series in countries outside of the United States and China (where Netflix is unavailable). It’s unclear if Netflix’s deal includes DC Universe’s other originals, but it wouldn’t be shocking. Additionally, Netflix has released a full international trailer for the series, showing plenty of new footage. The trailer emphasizes on the team coming together, along with its dark…
