Neil Marshall Hired To Direct NBC’s CONSTANTINE Pilot

We officially have a director for NBC’s planned Constantine pilot, which marks the small screen debut of DC’s John Constantine. According to Deadline, Doomsday and The Descent director Neil Marshall is set to helm the pilot, which was written by Daniel Cerone from a story by him and David S. Goyer. The potential series’ incarnation of Constantine is described as, “an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.” Casting is underway for Constantine and three other characters, with plans for the pilot to appear on NBC’s 2014-2015 schedule.
