We have another addition to the cast of The CW’s Flash pilot and potential series. According to The Wrap, Ed actor Tom Cavanagh has landed the role of S.T.A.R. Labs’ Harrison Wells in the Arrow spin-off. Previously mentioned as a possible series regular, Wells is described as “a rock star in the world of physics and the mind and money behind Central City’s S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator. He becomes a pariah after his lab explodes. But he redeems himself when he discovers that his failed experiment accidentally created the world’s fastest man, The Flash.”
Cavanagh joins a cast that includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, and Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon. Still to be cast is Hartley Rathaway, who becomes the villainous Pied Piper in the comics. The Flash will shoot in Vancouver next month, and if ordered to series, it will likely premiere on The CW next fall.
