Former Catwoman Anne Hathaway Offers Advice To New Lex Luthor Jesse Eisenberg
Speaking with Total Film while promoting Rio 2, Anne Hathaway comments on co-star Jesse Eisenberg’s recent casting as Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman. Of course, Hathaway previously played iconic DC villainess Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, so does she have any advice for Eisenberg’s debut in the DC Universe? “I wish I could say something, but it’s going to be his experience. Keep a journal, which I’m sure he does in some version of that already, just to remember it. Don’t be afraid to make it your own. In my case, people criticized, criticized, criticized until they saw it, and then a lot of people likes what I did. Don’t listen to anyone, do your thing. They cast you for a reason.” Well said. Hathaway finishes by praising Eisenberg’s casting, and shares her excitement for the Man of Steel sequel. “I think he’ll be remarkable, I’m excited to see it.”
