Jason Momoa Confirmed For Role In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN?
Yesterday, we received major casting news for Batman vs. Superman, as the film added theater actor Ray Fisher as Justice League member Victor Stone/Cyborg. Now, an old rumor has resurfaced. According to Batman-News, Jason Momoa signed on for an unspecified role in the Man of Steel sequel “a couple of months” ago. The Game of Thrones actor was reported to be negotiating to join the movie late last year, but he then denied involvement. A rumor that emerged shortly afterwards linked Momoa to the role of Aquaman, who may be one of the various cameos in Batman vs. Superman that will set up Justice League.
Batman-News cautions that this should be taken as a rumor, but the site has confidence in its source. If Momoa has a secretive cameo in the movie, then of course he would deny these reports. The actor has also been rumored for Doomsday, who may or may not be Batman vs. Superman‘s secondary villain. With production expected to begin within the next month, we should hear more news on this soon.
Batman vs. Superman (not the final title) is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. The follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
