Olga Kurylenko Addresses Contention For Wonder Woman Role In BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Before Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and future DC films last year, there were a handful of other actresses in contention for the highly coveted role. Oblivion‘s Olga Kurylenko and G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘s Elodie Yung were up for the part, and now, we’ve heard from the former on coming close to playing the biggest superheroine of all time. Speaking with Desde Hollywood, Kurylenko was asked about her contention for the Wonder Woman role. She admits that she isn’t terribly disappointed over not being cast, and she wishes Gadot the best. “If I could have been [Wonder Woman]? Well, because, everyone was saying that it was a possibility. It did crossed my mind. But it’s fine, you know. There are many other roles. I am very happy for the girl that’s got the part. I am looking forward to seeing it.”
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters March 25th, 2016. A follow-up to Man of Steel, the second installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer.
