LUCIFER Casts Lauren German and SUPERGIRL Adds Young Kara

Two upcoming DC-TV programs have added to their casts this week.  First up is Lucifer. The upcoming Fox/DC cooperation has added experienced television
actress Lauren German as their female lead.
Meanwhile, as filming continues for the highly-anticipated Supergirl pilot they have announced
that Malina Weissman will join on as a younger Kara Zor-El/Danvers.
As reported by TV Line, Lauren German is coming off a run on
NBC’s Chicago Fire and the spin-off Chicago PD as “Leslie Shay.”  Prior to that she appeared in the Hawaii-Five-O reboot, Hostel Part II and even appeared on
another DC based series, Human Target.
(imdb
She will play Los
Angeles Police Detective, “Chloe Dancer.”  She is described as “both entranced and
disgusted” by Lucifer as they team-up to capture and punish
criminals.  According to the TV Line
report, Lucifer himself is intrigued by Dancer’s good nature which causes him
to reevaluate humanity.
Malina Weissman made her on-screen debut as the young April
O’Neil in last summer’s Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles.
  She is described as a
guest star for a flashback sequence.  The
producers for Supergirl are no
strangers to flashbacks as both The Flash
and Arrow have made liberal use of
flashback on both series.
While Weissman being cast confirms there will be a flashback
it is unclear if it will be on Krypton, Earth or both.  The Hollywood Reporter made a point to
mention that Dean Cain and Helen Slater are also listed as guest stars which
could lend to the speculation that the former Superman and Supergirl will be
playing Kara’s foster parents, the Danvers.
Supergirl is in
Production by Warner Brothers and CBS.
Lucifer is in
Development by Warner Television and Fox.

Just another guy on the internet.
