LUCIFER Casts Nicholas Gonzalez as Series Regular

More casting news from Lucifer
has surfaced.  As the Fox/Bruckheimer/WB
collaboration approaches the start of production, news is beginning to come out
more regularly.  Deadline reported today
that Nicholas Gonzalez has joined the cast of Lucifer as a series regular.
Gonzalez is an actor with dozens of roles to his credit in a
career that reaches all the way back to 1998 and a guest spot of the ABC
sitcom, Dharma and Greg.  Since then, he’s worked alongside names like
Edward James Olmos and Danny Glover.
More recently, he’s had appearances on Sleepy Hollow, Modern Family and Jane the Virgin.  Later this
year, he will lend his voice to the video game, Battlefield: Hardline
(imdb)
Deadline describes his role as a gruff LAPD Homicide
Detective named Dan.  He is wary of
Lucifer’s involvement with his wife and daughter.  As best I could tell, Dan doesn’t seem to be
a character from the comic, then again with little more than a first name and
brief description there is not much to work with.
If the name and face familiar to you, that is because Lucifer is not Mr. Gonzalez’s first
foray into DC-Television.  As reported on Watchtower of Babel (HERE,), Gonzalez is in the March 24th episode of The Flash entitled “Rogue Time.”  He will be playing Cisco’s older brother,
Dante.  It could be inferred that
Gonzalez’s work on the Flash gave
him the opportunity to work with DC/Warner Television again.
