Ever since Scoot McNairy was cast for Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice people have been wondering what character would play. Rumors have said that he would play The Flash, Jimmy Olsen and more. Now Latino-Review is reporting that they know who McNairy is playing in the film.
According to Latino-Review, Scoot McNairy is playing a civilian who had his legs amputated after the fight between Superman and Zod in Man of Steel. He is brought before the senate to testify against Superman. The report says: “McNairy’s wheelchair-bound character will be brought in to testify against Superman to the U.S. Senate, but also become a victim of Lex Luthor’s campaign against the Man of Steel. One of Luthor’s schemes in the movie involves turning McNairy’s character into a human bomb of sorts, radicalizing him, in an attempt to get him close to Superman and to hurt him.”
With every rumor you should always take it with a grain of salt; but if McNairy is playing a human bomb, I think it’s safe to assume that he is not Jimmy Olsen. It’ll be interesting to see what other plans Lex has up his sleeve. He can’t expect a bomb to hurt the Man of Steel, can he? Thankfully. we’ll find out when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next month.
